Configuration of Oracle Net Manager

Use the Oracle Net Manager to configure your computer as shown in a few simple steps below:

Before you will try connecting your Oracle server, ask your database administrator for your access credentials. This typically includes server host name, service name and your username and password.

1. Add Net Service Name.
Use this name in Miner3D connect dialog.

2. Enter database service name.

3. Enter host name and port number.

4. Save the changes you have just made.

5. Close the Oracle Net Manager.



If you are still unable to make a successful database connect ask your database administrator for assistance with Oracle Net Manager configuration.

Make also sure that your environment is transparent to the database service and that network firewalls do not filter out Oracle database packets.
